Change of Plans...

So, we have decided not to buy the house after all. Chris and I went to the "Options Meeting" for the new house where you get to decide on all of your colors, cabinets, flooring, etc. After leaving we both just felt uneasy about the whole thing, so we called them up and got out of our contract. It was a hard decision because we were both so excited about a new home. This will give us a chance to save up a little more though and hopefully house prices will drop as well.

We bought a house!!!

Chris and I have been on the house hunt for months now. We have been living in the basement of his parent's home for the last little while. Although it has been nice to save up some money and get to spend time with them, we are quite looking forward to having a place of our own again. I think my parents are looking forward to having their garage back too, beings as they have let us use it as a storage unit all this time. Our house is in Lehi, which is a great location for us with it being right between where our families live. The house actually still needs to be built. We were excited to come across it at the time we did because we will be able to pick out all of our colors and different options for the home. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a nice kitchen/dining/ family room area. It is supposed to be finished around May or June. We went by today and they have it all dug out. Above is a picture of what the home is supposed to look like when it is finished. We are so excited to get into our first home!
